How to Use Multiple Email Signatures in Gmail – Guide
Gmail (or Google Mail) only allows you to add a signature to new email messages or replies by default. While this method seems suitable when it comes to private communications, it is not always a good scenario when it comes to corporate communications.
If you’ve used Microsoft Outlook before, you may have noticed that it has the option to employ different signatures that can be selected based on the occasion. In this post, you will learn how to replicate the effect in Gmail. The difficult aspect of the configuration is that you have to enable the Gmail Templates extension. Default Responses, which eventually became “Default Responses (Templates)”, gave rise to this functionality. What distinguishes prepared responses from models? Aside from the more recent name, the models are almost identical.
You will be able to generate and save as many new signatures as needed once this advanced functionality is activated.
How to Knife
activating models
To activate templates featurelog in to your Gmail account and go to Gmail settings (gear icon) located in the upper right corner of the main Gmail account window:
In the Settings view, access the Advanced tab located on the right side of the window as shown below. Then go to the Templates section and click Enable:
After enabling the option, save the changes:

Okay, now you can create your first ready-made response (or template if you like). To create it, you need to go to the main inbox view and click on the Compose button button to open a new message window. In the new message window, compose your signature. You can use the formatting tools available to make your signature more attractive, or you can use one of these free email signature generators to simplify the process.
When your subscription is ready, click on the three dots (next to the trash can icon) to show up more options (step 1 in the image below) and then Templates>Save draft as template>Save as new template.
In the resulting window, enter a name for your new email signature template and click Save:
That’s it! You can now verify that your “canned response” was created correctly. To verify, click the More Options icon and select Templates again – you should see your newly created subscription in the list:
Now you can repeat this procedure as many times as you need. Once all your templates are ready, you can select one of them each time you write a new email message.
To remove a template from the list, simply click on the selected answer in the Delete Template section and in the resulting window confirm that you want to remove it (in the screenshot above there are three sections: Insert, Save and Delete).
