Let’s install an extension called Floating Youtube. It’s a free Chrome extension that lets you watch YouTube videos through a floating window that always hovers over the Chrome window you’re currently on.
Installing YouTube Floating Extension
- Open the Chrome Web Store from this link.
- Search for “Floating for YouTube”. If you are having trouble searching for it, please follow this link to do this.
- After installation, launch Floating YouTube from the Chrome App Launcher.
- A blank floating window will appear in the lower right corner.
- Enter the Youtube URL and the window will automatically start playing your video.
That’s it, you can just work and enjoy your Youtube video at the same time. You have three controls in the upper-right corner to move the window, drop it so it lands on the back of Chrome, and close it. You can also resize it along any of the edges as you would any other window on your computer.
