Twitter now lets you add topics to Spaces, but the options are limited How to get it – Guide
Twitter is adding one more feature to make Spaces more discoverable. On Friday, the company announced the addition of Topics. As the name suggests, these are essentially predefined tags that you can use to help like-minded people find your audio rooms. You can add up for three topics for one space. Some of the ones you can currently use include “entertainment”, “world news” and “games”.
At launch, the feature is somewhat limited. It is only available to selected Android users, there are only 10 topics in total to choose from and topics only work in English. However, Twitter said that support for iOS is coming soon and that it will expand the number of topics available “as we build together”.
As with the v2 API update the company announced in August, it’s safe to say that Twitter’s hope here is to encourage greater use of Spaces by making it easier to find audio rooms, especially those that align with your interests.
