Historically, organizations have relied on developers and her IT to build the solutions they need. But the need for developers is growing much faster than the number of new developers entering the job market. A low-code platform means companies no longer rely on professional developer skills for every solution. Gartner® predicts that by 2025, 70% of new enterprise applications will use low-code technology.
Student low-code developer creates solutions for her business
The Power Platform University Hub provides students with an integrated curriculum focused on the power of using low-code platforms to accelerate digital transformation. Program students have access to learning journeys that include more than a dozen courses. Courses cover topics such as low-code development and analytical tools.
A student who completes the curriculum will earn her two certifications, the PMI Citizen Developer Practitioner Micro-Credential and the PL-100 Microsoft Power Platform App Maker Certification. By training more students in low-code tools, we will close the existing gap created by the shortage of pro-code developers, helping organizations and businesses grow their business without relying solely on overburdened IT retirements.
The need to build solutions is growing. To date, 28 universities have participated in pilot programs, inspiring over 1,500 student low-code developers to create applications for the enterprises of the future.
