One of the best methods to make your PowerPoint presentations look more professional and stand out from the crowd is to use unique fonts. Don’t worry, there is an easy and painless way to solve this problem. we will show you how to embed fonts in PowerPoint in this guide so you can share your presentations without having to worry about font difficulties. Read on to find out how this is done.
When using third-party fonts in PowerPoint slideshows, many users overlook the fact that if another member of their team or client doesn’t have the exact same font loaded on their computer, the entire slideshow will become a mess when they try to change this. By allowing users to embed fonts in PowerPoint files, Microsoft has added a very important feature to help professionals avoid this difficulty. In this method, you can embed the fonts you use in each of your slideshows so that even if someone doesn’t have the custom font installed on their computer, they can still edit and customize their PowerPoint presentation.
Embed the font in the presentation
PowerPoint 2010, 2013, 2016:
- Open a presentation you want to share.
- Go to the PowerPoint main menu in the upper left corner.
- Select options.
- Go to the Save options on the left.
- Find the embedding options at the bottom and check Embed fonts in file. Here, you can embed just the characters used in the presentation text or the entire character set of the font. For safety, we recommend that you select Embed All Characters, although this takes up more space.
- From the Preserve Fidelity… drop-down menu, you can select just the current presentation or apply this setting to all saved presentations.
- Click OK and save the presentation.
Now that the fonts are embedded in your .pptx file, you can send it to a colleague or upload it to the Internet and keep all the fonts displayed exactly as they did in the original PowerPoint.
