However, there have been reports and complaints from Samsung Galaxy smartphone users about unwanted battery drain. How to Fix Samsung One UI battery discharge issues? We will try to find the best options to reduce Samsung Galaxy battery consumption issues.
Samsung recently updated its One UI Home and better approached the One UI Home battery drain problem. Excellent one-handed mode, redesigned default apps, and reduced bloatware were some of the factors that significantly fixed the issues in One UI Home user interface.
turn off non-essentials
You don’t really need all connectivity features to be on all the time. Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, WiFi drain the battery, so simply turning them on when you need them is pretty simple to do.
This doesn’t just apply as a UI fix, but to everyone phone owners in general. Use what you need, turn off what you don’t need.
Device care
Under Settings you will find an option called Device Care. open it feature, followed by the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner and click Auto-optimization. This option will turn off all non-essential apps that are running in the background using up your battery. You can set a certain time for your phone to do this automatically.
Other feature in Device Care it is Auto Restart. Again, you can choose to have this happen late at night / early in the morning (eg 3:00 am) when you are not using your phone. Automatic restart will restart your phone improving battery life and cleaning the operating system of things you don’t use. Just as it’s good practice to turn off your computer and not just put it into sleep mode, you should do it with your phone.
battery power mode
By going to Battery and then Power Mode you will get a list of 4 power saving settings to choose from. These are: high performance, optimized, medium energy savings and maximum energy savings. Each mode has its own settings, but what I like about them is that they are custom rather than strict energy saving modes.
I usually leave mine phone on optimized as high performance drains the battery faster, while medium and maximum power saving modes can slow down the operating system. Use them in a pinch when your phone it’s really low on energy and you still need it for Uber home.
night mode
Select phone mode night to save battery on brightness. This applies to phone for general theme and for specific apps. One UI night mode can be selected from the dropdown notification bar. To save even more on glare, you can access apps like Twitter and YouTube and enable their night modes.
reduce animations
Go to Settings, Advanced Features, and click Shrink animations. Now when you open an app, it just opens without any zoom in/out or any animation.
Compare what your phone looks and feels before and after using it feature, and you’ll see the difference and your battery will love you for doing it.
