How to post Moments in WeChat – Guide

WeChat is a cross-platform messenger for iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, Nokia, BlackBerry, Mac and PC. It supports sending, receiving and sharing voice, photo, video and text messages in different cells phones and even computers. You will be able to transfer videos freely between different phones, such as iPhone to Samsung, Samsung to iPhone, iPhone to Android phones, Android to iPhone, iPhone to BlackBerry and so on. In that guide, you will learn how to share videos on WeChat on mobile phones. Since WeChat V6.0, you can also post videos on WeChat Moments or WeChat Chats via videos from your smartphone view.

However, many WeChat users find that they cannot send videos from iPhone, Samsung, Android or other phones to WeChat Moments to share with friends, family or in public moments. How to Post WeChat Moments on Android

  • Open WeChat. Typically, you will find the app on your home screen or in the application drawer. Look for the green icon with two overlapping white chat bubbles.
  • Tap Discover. It is at the bottom of the screen.
  • Tap Moments.
  • tap camera icon. It’s below your profile picture, next to the date. A bang-up it will show up.
  • Tap Choose Image.
  • If you want to take a new photo or video, tap Use Camera instead, capture or record your moment.
  • If this is your first time using Moments, you will see a welcome popup. Read and tap OK.
  • Tap a photo or video to select it. A checkmark will appear in the upper left corner.
  • Tap Done. The photo or video will appear on WeChat, ready for editing.
  • Tap Edit. It’s in the lower left corner.
  • Select an editing tool to add effects. Here’s what they do:
  • Pencil: a freehand drawing tool.
  • Smiley face: Emoji and stickers.
  • T: Type anywhere on the photo or video.
  • Checkerboard: Adds a mosaic effect.
  • Crop Tool: Crop and resize a photo.
  • Tap Done. You will now see your photo or video attached to a new post.
  • Type a message. This is optional, but you can tap Say something to attach a message to your moment.
  • Tap Location to tag your location. If you don’t want people to know where you are, skip this step.
  • Touch Share to select a privacy setting. Your moment is set to public by default. To increase your security, select Private (only you), Share List (only a few friends) or Not Share List (deletes some friends) and tap Done.
  • Tap Mention to tag a friend. This is optional, but can be useful if you want to tag a friend who is in the photo or video. Your contact list will appear – tap the contact(s) you want to mention and then tap OK.
  • Tap Submit. Your new moment is now live.
