How to schedule an email in Gmail on the desktop
- After writing your email, click on the blue button button with a down arrow next to Submit button. Do not click “Submit” itself.
- Click on “Schedule Shipping”.
- You will see some preset times, which you can select by clicking on them. To schedule the message to be sent at a specific time, click on “Select date and time”.
- Click a date to select it and click the time to specify exactly when you want the email sent. Then click on “Schedule shipping”.
Your email is scheduled. Before sending, you can find the message in your “Scheduled” folder, where you can edit the content, reschedule it for a different time or cancel the sending entirely.
How to schedule an email in Gmail at mobile
- After composing your email in Gmail mobile app for Android or iOS, tap the three dot symbol next to Submit button.
- Tap “Schedule Shipping”.
- You can tap one of the preset times to schedule your email or tap “Choose date and time” to choose a specific time.
- If you tapped “Choose date and time”, select a date and time and tap “Schedule send”.
As with the desktop method, your email will wait in the “Scheduled” folder until it is automatically sent at the specified time. Until then, you can open the message to edit, reschedule, cancel or delete.
