Transitioning from an Android phone to an iPhone can be challenging – unlike updating from one Android device to another (or from one iPhone to another iPhone), there’s no one-click seamless transfer process. But it’s not especially difficult either. There are several ways to transfer contacts from an Android device to an iPhone, depending on whether you want to set up a new iPhone or just move a few contacts to an existing iPhone.

For users of Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, etc. (Android OS 10 and 9):
Go to the Contacts app > tap the circle icon with lines > choose the Manage contacts option > tap Sync contacts > activate Google account option (if you haven’t added a Google account yet, click + Add account to add an account from Google)> click Sync to sync your Samsung contacts with a Google account.
For users of Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S7, etc. (Android OS 7 or 8):
Go to the Contacts app> click the 3-dot menu button in the interface> choose the Manage Contacts option from the drop-down lists of the 3-Point Menu button > click on Move contacts from phone option> choose google account> tap Move button at the bottom of the interface to sync Samsung contacts with Google account.
For users of Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 edge +, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Duos, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 4 Duos etc. (Android OS 6):
Go to the Contacts app> click the 3-dot menu button > choose Move device contacts to option > select Google > then Samsung will open up a warning message asking your permission to move contacts to Google> click OK to allow the contact sync operation with your Google account.
