This Acer C250i review is a great place to start for anyone who wants to buy a portable projector for a reasonable price. If you’re on a tight budget, this is one of the best projectors you can buy. It has a lot of ways to connect and Full HD image quality. Acer has a great track record of making good products that don’t cost a fortune.
They have a few different LED projectors that do the same thing, and the Acer C250i is in the middle of their range. It has a higher resolution than its cheaper brother or sister, the C202i, but it saves money compared to the more expensive B250i by lowering the brightness and speaker power. It also doesn’t have as many advanced features.

Acer C250i review: Design & Features
The C250i’s twisted case is the thing that stands out the most. The C250i isn’t round like the similar-sized Nebula Capsule II. Instead, it has 12 faces that offer different viewing angles and, when placed on its base, mirror the phone screen in portrait mode. As the placement and angle of a portable projector can be very important, this seems like a great idea, but the options are limited.
We found that there were three positions for front projection: straight ahead, which was too low for my projection surface, the next angle up, where half of the projection went off the top of the screen, and on the ceiling. You can get this projector from its official website.
Acer C250i review: Display
Screen mirroring is another way to show content from your phone or tablet. This will project a copy of your phone’s screen. It does a good job and changes the orientation automatically to fit the type of content you’re showing.
Once it’s running, you can cast everything from your saved photos to YouTube videos. It did sometimes take a few minutes to show the content, but it’s responsive and works almost instantly as you move around your system.
Acer C250i review: Performance
The Acer C250i isn’t the best portable projector in the world, but it’s good enough for casual users who don’t care about having ultra-precise 4K. It projects content at 1920 x 1080p FHD resolution.
The picture was sharp, clear, and full of colour. But we were most impressed by how well and quickly the autofocus worked. The Acer C250i did a great job of making the image fit the background. Even though it was small, it was able to project over a large area.
Acer C250i review: Connection
When using a wired connection, setting up the projector is a fairly simple process; all that is required is to connect it to a power source and one of your devices, and then use the remote control that was provided to turn it on. After that, you select your language, and that’s it for your input.
Acer C250i review: Price and availability
The Acer C250i portable projector may be purchased on the official website of Acer for a price that starts at $505 in the United States, £400 in the United Kingdom, and AU$840 in Australia. By utilising the widgets on this page, you should be able to find out where you can get it in your region.
Final Words
On paper, the C250i appears to be designed for mobility, but in practise, many of the features don’t fully deliver on that promise. Particularly disappointing is the fact that the twisted case does not provide the variety of setting options one may expect.
But, despite having an exceptional battery life, strong speakers, and a quick focusing, which are all great features for real portability, the projector does have some shortcomings that prevent it from becoming one of the finest outdoor projectors.
Acer C250i Ratings

What surfaces do projectors work on?
If you use a projector without a screen, you won’t be able to see things as well as you could. If you really want to use a projector without a screen, make sure the surface you use is clean and shiny. You can use a white sheet, a white wall, or another light-colored surface that is only partly reflective.
What color is best for projector wall?
But how do you choose the best colour? A projector will work on a wall, but for the best viewing experience, choose a special paint for projector screens and find the right colour. Most of the time, grey works best because it has the best qualities of both black and white.
Do projectors work in daylight?
Projectors can work in daylight, and they can even work well, but because of how projecting and projector screens work, you have to make sure you get the brightness you want at the projector.
