Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Pro review: Design & features

Among the routers I’ve seen, the Rapture is one of the largest and most extreme-looking. It appears like it could morph into a villainous robot intent on ruling the planet. The primary component is a 2.1-kilogram flat cuboid that looks and feels like a PS4 Slim. Because of the 8 thick, foldable antennae, it is fairly large and needs a sturdy mounting surface. The Rapture has two USB ports with LED indicators and four Gigabit LAN connections on the rear.
It also has a 2.5Gb and 10Gb WAN port. It also features RGB lighting that can be adjusted via the light bar on the back and the complicated Eagle eye emblem on the top, which is made up of smaller illuminated ROG letters. The Rapture is so massive that it conceals cutting-edge WiFi and network technology. The aggregated bandwidth from multiple connections can reach 11 Gbps at maximum speed thanks to Link Aggregation.
The Rapture can combine two 1Gbps LAN ports into a 2Gbps connection, making it ideal for bandwidth-intensive devices like NASes. The Rapture’s signal processing is handled fast by its integrated quad-core 2.0GHz CPU. The Rapture’s range and coverage are greatly improved by the beam-forming antenna and OFDMA technology. You can buyu this router from its official website
Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Pro: Performance
There are specialist monitoring tools for Rapture’s network enhancements, but I don’t have access to them. My network, however, outperforms even my provider’s default router. I’m not a great fan of online gaming, but Destiny 2 is a lot of fun. Even when others are streaming, the Rapture does not disturb my games as my old router did.
Streaming Disney content in 4K on Disney+ has also become much more reliable for me. Since we upgraded to this router, my wife hasn’t had any issues with the clarity of her Zoom or Teams calls for work. The “poor connection” alert hasn’t appeared on my calls in quite some time. Furthermore, I have not experienced any WiFi bottlenecks even running many huge downloads on my personal rig and review devices.
Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Pro review: Connections and controls

If you’re looking for a high-end router, go no further than the Rapture GT-AX11000. It’s unfortunate that there are only four Gigabit Ethernet ports, but the popularity of 802.11ax should reduce the importance of wired connections during the router’s useful lifespan.
With 803.2ad link aggregation, the first two GbE ports can be combined into a single 2GbE connection, satisfying the needs of those who choose speed over quantity. If you want to use the 2.5GbE socket for super-fast local gaming, you’ll need network cards and a switch that are compatible with it, which might end up costing more than the router itself.
Price and availability
The problem is that it costs S$759. This is mostly because it has functions that aren’t common. Most people won’t use some of this router’s features, so they probably shouldn’t buy it. Instead, you might be better off with a set of good mesh routers. You could also wait until Wi-Fi 7 routers come out.
Final Words
If your current router doesn’t have enough speed for lag-free online gaming, the Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Pro might be a good choice. This tri-band Wi-Fi 6router costs $450, which is a lot, but you get what you pay for in terms of performance, high-speed network ports, and features like game-enhancing settings, parental control, traffic tracking, and network security software.

FAQS
It’s a big, flashy router with 2.5Gbps and 10Gbps Ethernet ports that are made for gamers. It’s just too much for 99.9% of users, unless you already have (or are thinking about getting) one of Singtel or StarHub’s 10Gbps internet plans.
The Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Pro is a well-equipped, but expensive, tri-band Wi-Fi 6 gaming router with top-notch performance, high-speed wired connections, and a lot of gamer-friendly settings.
