Design, Build and Ports
Even though Asus took a conservative approach to the design of the Zenbook 14 Flip, the product is nevertheless able to differentiate itself from the competition. The back of the gadget has a distinctive angular pattern and a matte finish, both of which contribute significantly to this quality.

The combination of a 14-inch screen and a resolution of 2880 by 1800 is excellent for everything from working in an office to editing photographs or videos, and I’m not really sure what benefits the extra upgrade to 4K would bring to the table.
It also covers 99.9% of the DCI P3 colour spectrum and 97.4% of the Adobe RGB colour range in addition to covering the full sRGB colour gamut. You get outstanding levels of contrast with a luminance of 336 nits in standard SDR applications and a black level of zero nits, and colour accuracy is as impressive with an average Delta E of 0.44. Additionally, the refresh rate of 90Hz is fairly easy on the eyes, which is especially helpful when scrolling through documents or webpages.
Keyboard and Trackpad
Because the monitor is 14 inches, there is sufficient space for a full-size keyboard, and this particular one is of very high quality. In spite of the relatively low amount of key travel, I was able to use it without discomfort for several hours at a time. Every key has a clicky and responsive feel to it.
The backlighting on the keyboard can be adjusted to one of three different settings. If you are in a room that is very dark, the lowest setting is ideal for you, but if you are in a room that is considerably brighter, the highest level will allow you to comfortably see the keys.

The version of Windows 11 Home that is installed on the Zenbook 14 Flip is extremely comparable to the version that is installed on Microsoft’s own Surface devices. On the other hand, you can say the same thing about practically every Windows laptop, and the software updates on an Android phone are nothing like what you’ll find on an iOS phone.
And when it comes to unnecessary programs that are pre-installed on the device, Asus is one of the biggest offenders. By far the most irritating piece of security software is McAfee’s, which offers a free trial but then repeatedly prompts you to purchase a membership after you cancel the trial. Antivirus pop-ups are particularly bothersome for most consumers because the free Microsoft Defender program provides everything that they require.
Asus Zenbook 14 Flip OLED: Battery Life
We wasn’t expecting much from the Asus’s battery life given its Intel Core i7 processor and OLED display, but it lasted for 9 hours and 36 minutes on the PC Mark 10 Modern Office battery benchmark when the screen’s brightness was reduced to 150 nits.
In most cases, we were able to get through an entire workday with the brightness set to 90%, though there were days when I had to plug in at approximately 4:30 or 5:30 after getting started at 8:30.
Final Words
Even though the Zenbook 14 Flip OLED is a premium convertible and performs admirably in many respects, it fails to truly distinguish out. With its flexible design and built-in stylus, this tablet’s dazzling 90Hz OLED panel becomes even more impressive.
