Which makes it a decent pick for home-based or small offices and workgroups with light print and copy loads, or possibly even a personal monochrome laser AIO. The disadvantage of this situation is that, unlike Brother’s INKvestment inkjet counterparts, which not only come with additional ink but also incur very low ongoing running costs.
The Brother MFC-L2750DW XL is one of the company’s first “XL” laser printers, which, to put it more plainly, indicates that the printer ships with a significant amount of additional toner in the packaging. This results in a higher price than we are used to seeing in an entry-level to middle-range monochrome laser all-in-one (AIO), but it prints well and is reasonably fast.
The XL line merely provides the convenience of additional toner at the time of purchase. This is in contrast to the fact that Brother’s INKvestment counterparts come not only with additional ink but also with very low ongoing costs. To put it another way, you won’t have to place an order for toner as quickly, but when you do, the cost of each page will be roughly the same as the cost of toner for several other Brother entry-level machines.
In other words, the price per page will be relatively expensive. The MFC-L2750DW XL would probably sell for between $200 and $300 if it did not come with the additional toner. The only thing you get in exchange for the additional cost, then, is somewhat cheaper toner for the first several thousand pages and, depending on how often you use the printer, a long gap between when you buy the printer and when you must fork over more money for toner.

Brother MFC-L2750DW XL review: Design
The 2.7-inch colour touch screen isn’t pretty, but it does what it’s supposed to do. You can’t swipe like you can on a smartphone screen, but you can get where you want to go by tapping the virtual up and down menu buttons. To see the scanner plate, you have to lift up the 50-sheet ADF on top of the printer.
The lid is held in place at about a 45-degree angle, so you don’t have to hold it while loading a document to scan. There is a catch that folds out where the pages land under the ADF to keep them from falling off the unit.
The output tray is a hole in the body below the scanner glass that has a hinged catch at the front. There is a 10-key pad for entering fax numbers to make faxing easier. You can buy this printer from its official website.
Brother MFC-L2750DW XL review: Features
The Brother MFC-L2750DW XL multifunction printer is fast and has useful features like a fast automatic document feeder (ADF), fast duplex printing and copying, the ability to send and receive faxes, and a second paper tray. (The Canon ImageClass MF217w, which was our previous Editors’ Choice, did not have a duplexer.)
The MFC-L2750DW XL had the fastest speeds for text and mixed text/graphics files to date. It could also print on both sides of a page faster than some other models could print on just one side. It also has a high image quality in every way. Even though the price is high for this category at first, keep in mind that it comes with two toner cartridges that can print a total of 7,500 pages.
With its high-capacity toner cartridge, the MFC-L2750DW XL has the lowest cost per page we’ve seen in this category, at just 2.7 cents. That’s a deal that’s hard to beat.
Brother MFC-L2750DW XL review: Print and Scan Quality
When Brother first told me about its new XL, lots-of-toner-in-the-box printers, I thought they would be like the company’s INKvestment machines, where you pay more for the printer up front and get huge discounts on supplies over the life of the printer. As was already said, all you get is more toner when you buy this.
The cost of the toner per page is the same as for entry-level printers that do not use XL toner, such as the company’s new HL-L2390DW. When you buy the highest-yield cartridge for this printer, it costs about 3.6 cents per page, which is more than any of the other printers we’ve talked about here.
Brother MFC-L2750DW XL review: Scanner
The fact that it does not print in colour is its most significant shortcoming. On the other hand, if a person simply want to print in black, this is the best choice available given the circumstances.
In addition, there is an auto feeder included with the scanner, which makes it possible to print on both sides of a page. Because it is a laser printer, the Brother MFC-2750DW does not have the same level of susceptibility to the possibility of printing with a clogged printhead as an inkjet printer has. The installation of toner cartridges is a basic process.
Final Words
Printing, scanning, copying, and faxing are all included in the functionality of the Brother MFC-L2750DW, which is an all-in-one monochrome laser printer from Brother. It produces text of a quality somewhere in the middle, has relatively low operating costs, and has a list price that is acceptable taking into account the variety of functions it possesses.
Someone who wants the versatility of an all-in-one, does not want to shell out the extra money for our Editors’ Choice Award winner, and doesn’t mind making some slight concessions in printing speed and graphics quality is a good candidate for this product.
