Huawei has not updated its flagship Huawei Watch model in quite some time, despite the fact that the company’s smartwatches have been a favorite here at Expert Reviews for quite some time. This year, however, the Huawei Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro have come, and they have a lot going for them thanks to the company’s proprietary HarmonyOS. Both of these watches are rather impressive.
Android users who are searching for an alternative to Wear OS devices will find that these watches have a solid battery life, smooth performance, a gorgeous design, and decent functionality for fitness monitoring. This makes them a strong alternative. They even function quite well with the iPhone, however the extended battery life is the only thing that might pull iPhone owners away from a new Apple Watch, because Apple’s wearable is far more capable across the board.
Huawei Watch 3 Pro Specifications
The intersection of fashion and technology is where smartwatches find their home. They are typically excellent in the technical aspect, but they are not typically the last word in style. However, things are different with the Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro.

Huawei Watch 3 Pro: Design and Build
The Huawei Watch 3 Pro features a premium titanium case and an industry-standard 22mm strap. It has a luxurious look and feel. While many high-end wristwatches can seem heavy after a while, ours was comfortable to wear without being cumbersome. Without the strap, the overall weight is a feathery 63 grams.
The Watch 3 Pro comes with two straps—a rubber one and a metal one—so you can quickly change it up to match your style and, if necessary, your wardrobe. This watch has a 1.43-inch screen and a 48-millimeter frame, making it a bit cumbersome for those with tiny wrists. The bezel surrounding the touchscreen is divided into 24 pieces (representing the 24 hours in a day), but most watch faces make minimal use of this feature.
Huawei Watch 3 Pro: Display
The 1.43-inch AMOLED displays on the Titanium versions offer a pixel density of 326ppi. The clarity here is same to that of the Apple Watch Series 7. The 1.32-inch Ceramic model may have a lower pixel density (352ppi), but its smaller size makes up for it. From a close range, even the tiniest type remains legible and unobscured.
The ambient light sensor reacts extremely quickly, making the screen readable even in direct sunshine. When it’s dark, it won’t shine too brightly either. OLEDs are recognized for their vivid colors and wide viewing angles, and both of these qualities are present here. Since the accelerometer was so sensitive to arm motions, we rarely used the “always on” setting even though it’s available if you have adequate battery life.
Health and fitness tracking
When not actively being used, the Watch 3 Pro contains an abundance of sensors and tracking features. The Watch 3 Pro will cheerfully track your steps and heart rate as you go about your day. In addition to frequent stress testing and a skin temperature monitor, it provides continuous SPO2 readings (which can be disabled in the settings). We like that I can choose what is tracked and when, as well as adjust the settings to save battery life. The Watch 3 Pro lacks an electrocardiogram (ECG), despite being a more fully-featured smartwatch than HUAWEI’s Watch GT series.
Huawei Watch 3 Pro: Performance
The Huawei Watch 3 Pro’s top-notch functionality and sleek design make it a standout in the market. This smartwatch, running on the HarmonyOS, is incredibly user-friendly and packed with useful features. The sophisticated Kirin A1 CPU offers lightning-fast response times and seamless switching between apps. The AMOLED screen is gorgeous, with vibrant colors and crisp details, and the titanium construction ensures long life and a high-end feel. The Huawei Watch 3 Pro is a dependable companion for fitness enthusiasts and tech-savvy folks seeking a high-performance smartwatch due to its long battery life and advanced health tracking capabilities like SpO2 monitoring and heart rate tracking.
Huawei Watch 3 Pro: Battery life
Battery life of the Huawei Watch 3 Pro is impressive, going as high as 21 days (with a caveat). Just over three days of battery life can be expected with Wi-Fi on, the eSIM connected, NFC occasionally turned on, constant alerts, and the AOD active. The battery’s 790 mAh capacity was completely depleted.
While a magnetic 10W wireless charger is included, any Qi charger should work with the Huawei Watch 3 Pro. Charging the watch for three hours every three days isn’t ideal compared to the Huawei watches of the past, but it’s actually decent when compared to other true smartwatches due to the enormous battery inside.
Final Words
There are, however, a larger number of consumers who are better off avoiding the HUAWEI Watch 3 Pro. Anyone who uses an iPhone, anyone who wants a high-quality fitness tracker, and anyone who misses the superior app choices and smooth integration offered by Apple and Google. The price tag is steep, making it difficult to overlook flaws like the sluggish GPS lock and a few gaps in the software. Be sure the service works in your area and is compatible with your gadget before you commit.
Huawei Watch 3 Pro review: The good and The bad
In addition to that, it is a fantastic fitness tracker and has an outstanding battery life. It is unfortunate that the software is not up to par with the rest of the package.
The Good
- Fantastic battery life
- Lots of smartwatch features
The Bad
- Fitness tracking is sub-par
