The JBL Quantum Stream is a good first product from a company that may be new to peripherals but has been known for a long time for its audio products. In fact, the brand’s first batch of computer and gaming accessories has been very good. One of the best gaming headsets is the JBL Quantum 810. It may not be at the top of the list, but it is still one of the best. In the same way, the Quantum Stream won’t beat any of the best USB mics, but it’s a good choice for most people who want a USB mic.
So, if you’re looking for your first one, you should give the JBL Quantum Stream a close look. It sounds good, has a lot of features, and is easiest of all to set up and use. It really stands out from most of its competitors because of how easy it is to use. Depending on your setup and level of experience (or lack thereof), it could be a better choice than most of the others.

JBL Quantum Stream review: Design

The sleek look of the JBL Quantum Stream is one of the things we like most about it. At first glance, it seems as easy as can be. It’s matte black, has an aluminium grille over the mic capsule, and is made of hard, sturdy plastic. It only has a silver JBL logo, a movable dial on the front, and a button on top to mute the mic.
The stem of the stand is made of hard plastic, and the base is made of aluminium. But there is more going on here. Even though there is only one dial, it can be used to change the volume of the headphones, the volume of the mic, and the polar pattern. You can buy this microphone from its official website.
JBL Quantum Stream review: Connectivity
The USB-C port lets you connect the JBL Quantum Stream to your computer or other devices. In the box is a USB-A to USB-C cable, but there is no USB-C to USB-C cable. This means you’ll need an adapter if you’re using a Mac or an Android device, for example.
A 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom of the microphone is the only other connection on the Quantum Stream. This lets you hear your voice before you start recording to make sure everything sounds good. There are some problems with how all of this works, but we’ll talk about those later.
JBL Quantum Stream review: Performance

Whenever and whenever it’s needed, JBL’s Quantum Stream is there to provide. My voice comes across strong and rich with plenty of bass end thanks to the wide frequency range (20-20kHz). When my proximity to it increases, the intensity of the effect increases. Yet, if I step back a few feet, the playing field is levelled again.
The omnidirectional mode reduces the proximity impact but significantly increases the ambient noise. You’ll want to utilise it in a quieter recording location due to the omnidirectional polar pattern, which is common of USB microphones. If you’re just starting off streaming or recording podcasts, don’t worry about background noise because the omnidirectional polar pattern records equally on all sides of the mic.
JBL Quantum Stream review: Price
The JBL Quantum Stream may be had for a reasonable $99.95 (or £99.99) or AU$119 (or equivalent). This USB mic costs about the same regardless of where you buy it (the United States, the United Kingdom, or Australia).
You can either shell out more money for a high-end microphone like the Razer Seiren Elite (which retails for around AU$285), or you can look at more budget-friendly options like the JLab Go Speak (which retails for around AU$70). Yet, the Quantum Stream strikes an excellent balance between price and utility.
Final Words
The base game of Two Point Campus is even more fun with Space Academy. The three new levels are the perfect mix of hard, fun, and different, and the new courses put a new spin on the core mechanics.
If you liked Two Point Campus, you can’t miss this DLC. It will take you back to the hours you spent building a working university, but this time on a cheese-made asteroid.
