The Lypertek PurePlay Z5 earbuds are the brand’s most recent offering. Lypertek is a company that has made a reputation for itself because to the great quality and low cost of its audio products.
It is also the first time that Lypertek has attempted to incorporate active noise cancellation into its earbuds, and that attempt is made with the Z5 buds. Unfortunately, the ANC mode does not perform at a level that can compete with any of our best noise-cancelling earbuds at this time. If this is the aspect that is most essential to you, then you won’t be able to find the earphones that you want anywhere else.

Lypertek PurePlay Z5: Design

With the PurePlay Z5, Lypertek went in a different design way. The idea comes from more Apple AirPods Pro, which turns out to be a good choice. The fit is comfortable, the seal is good at blocking out noise, and the curved driver helps by giving you a little more room to move the Z5 into place. Some people don’t like touch buttons, but on the Lypertek, they work very well—almost too well. Holding the button cycles through the noise-cancelling modes (on, ambient, and off). Tapping moves the playback order up, and tapping followed by holding the button brings up voice help. It’s a quick way to do things.
Lypertek PurePlay Z5: Sound quality
Earbuds in this price range come in a number of different styles. The Amazon Echo Buds 2, which cost $119, have good ANC and sound clarity. The OnePlus Buds Pro, on the other hand, have really strong ANC. (OnePlus headphones cost $149, but you can often find them on sale for around $119.) But if sound quality is more important to you than price, the Lypertek PurePlay Z5 buds are a great option. You can buy this earbuds from its official website
Lypertek PurePlay Z5: Performance

Performance did seem to be more focused on low frequencies, though. Punk’s “Get Lucky” and Big Data’s “Dangerous” were two songs where the bassline stood out the most. That doesn’t mean the other sounds were lost, though. Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” had clear and true midrange vocals, and the highs soared.
As a break from listening to test tracks, we streamed a party playlist on Spotify with songs like “Rock The Casbah” by The Clash and “Y.M.C.A.” by the Village People to see how these earbuds handled material with less data. Even though things seemed less dramatic and the soundstage was maybe a little bit narrow, the performance was still very well balanced.
Battery life and charging case
With ANC turned on, the Z5 headphones can be used for about 4 hours, or 20 hours if you use the charging case. This isn’t the best battery life because Apple’s AirPods Pro gave us 4.5 hours of play time or 24 hours with the charging case. If you turn off ANC and environmental modes, the battery will last 7 hours, or 30 hours with the case.
Price and availability
The Lypertek PurePlay Z5 truly wireless earbuds are now on sale and cost £119/$129, which is about AU$225. That’s a little more than the $89/£109 PurePlay Z3 2.0 earbuds we love, but that’s because the PurePlay Z5 has noise-canceling features.
Final Words
The Lypertek PurePlay Z5 headphones maintain Lypertek’s winning trend of producing high-quality headphones at prices that are reasonable, despite the fact that their sound isn’t nearly as clear as that of their predecessors. Just keep in mind that you shouldn’t go in expecting the active noise reduction feature to achieve anything really groundbreaking.
