MSI’s new Clutch GM51 Lightweight Wireless Gaming Mouse weighs 3 ounces (85g), which is pretty heavy for a lightweight mouse. It has an ergonomic design, grippable sides with RGB-infused “diamond lightgrips,” and an excellent PAW-3395 sensor that puts it on par with the best game mice on the market right now.
The mouse also has a great battery life of 140 hours (with the lights off, of course), and the $100 price tag includes a wireless charging dock that can also be used as a USB booster. This is an improvement to MSI’s Clutch GM41 Lightweight Wireless, but it’s, well, heavier. And that could be the trouble.

Design and Comfort
Lightweight wireless gaming mouse with five customizable buttons (including scroll wheel click)? That would be the Clutch GM51 Lightweight Wireless. The GM51’s plastic chassis has a matte black finish, and the MSI dragon emblem on the palm rest is backlit in RGB. The surface is supposed to be anti-smudge, however we noticed fingerprints after only a couple of hours.
MSI’s “diamond lightgrips,” a gently textured, soft, gripping thermoplastic elastomer, are used for the sides. Features and Software
Each of the three default profiles on the Clutch GM51 Lightweight Wireless can be customized through the MSI Center. In addition to customizing the mouse’s buttons, MSI Center lets you adjust its polling rate, lift-off distance, and DPI steps. The mouse has customizable RGB lighting with a few distinct effects out of the box.
The five buttons on the Clutch GM51 Lightweight Wireless (left and right click, scroll wheel click, and two thumb buttons) can be programmed to your liking. The MSI Center software isn’t the most professional or user-friendly, and the mouse’s setup is more involved than it should be.
MSI Clutch GM51: Sensor
Located smack dab in the middle, the PAW-3395 optical sensor cannot be missed. The sensor’s two brass charging pads are right below it. Users can toggle between the 2.4G wireless mode, Bluetooth mode, and turning the mouse off through a three-position button. At last, a DPI button lets you quickly switch between the various DPI options. Additionally, other mouse buttons can be used in tandem with it to adjust the color space. The MSI Clutch GM51 is made in a way that makes it perform very well. It is light, has a ridiculously high DPI of 26,000, and has a response time of 1,000Hz/1ms, which is still very good. This makes for a very fast, accurate, and low-latency performance, which is great for gamers. It also has great handling, so both claw and palm grips work well with it.
The program lets you change everything about the buttons, but it’s not as powerful as other brands like Logitech or Razer. Its ease of use hasn’t changed from the last model, so you’ll still find spelling mistakes and have trouble tracking anything beyond left, right, and middle.

The Clutch GM51 Lightweight Wireless is a good gaming mouse, but it’s not as light as the many other lightweight gaming mice on the market. If you want a light mouse, the Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro is still my go-to, but the Corsair Katar Elite Wireless is a good choice if you want to save money.
Don’t get me wrong, the Clutch GM51 Lightweight Wireless has its good points, such as a long-lasting battery, attractive, flashy RGB side grips, and a wireless charge dock that comes with it.

A good choice for the price. The MSI Clutch GM31 Lightweight Wireless is not the best game mouse on the market. It doesn’t have the best speed, the most comfortable grip, or any really cool features.
A mouse is what the CLUTCH GM11 is. It’s enough for the everyday gamer. It’s easy to use, even if you’re left-handed. The thumb buttons are only on the left side, which makes it harder for people with left hands to use.
