Nectar Mattress: Design
The top 2 inches are made up of gel-infused memory foam to mould to your body. Since some foams have a tendency to trap heat, the gel is meant to be worn under clothing. A layer called the Dynamic Response Layer sits beneath this one. This 3-inch layer is designed to improve the mattress’s overall support and to counteract the sinkage felt in the top layer by adding responsiveness and bounce. The bottom layer is 7 inches thick and is made to last.
The polyethylene exterior is made to absorb and wick away heat as the final step. Interestingly, despite the presence of a zipper on this cover, Nectar would prefer that you not open it. The Nectar’s impressive motion isolation left us quite impressed. When one partner in a couple is restless, the other person is not likely to be awakened. Most memory foam mattresses have respectable edge support, but the Nectar Hybrid has reinforced edges for those who need them.
