The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset, which has a maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz and is paired with the Adreno 619 GPU. This mixture works well and doesn’t break the bank. It also lives up to its promise of being energy efficient. But it’s important to note that if you use it a lot, there may be some limits that you can see. Overall, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G has a smooth screen, a battery that lasts a long time, and speed that doesn’t break the bank. It may not be good for people who watch a lot of videos.

OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite: Design
The smartphone will look familiar at first. Oppo’s K10 was used as a model, and OnePlus changed the shiny camera island. Except for the OnePlus mark on the back, there are no brands on the phone. So, you do end up with a clean, simple look. Though we would have liked it better if the company had come up with something new. The front of the phone looks like any other Android phone on the market. The back, however, has a slightly raised camera island with three cameras. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite has a strong plastic body that looks like smooth metal, giving it a high-end look.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite: Display
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G has a Full HD+ LCD screen that is 6.59 inches in size. The usual color profile is Vivid, and I didn’t find a reason to change it. A high update rate of 120Hz is also supported by the screen. Also, you can save battery life by lowering the refresh rate to the usual 60Hz.
Even in bright sunlight, the screen is bright enough. But it’s not a good idea to watch videos outside for long periods of time. Also, it will have an effect on how well the battery works.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite: Camera
The only camera on the back that does anything useful is the main 64MP camera. The main camera can’t record movies in 4K, and its highest resolution is 1080p. In terms of shooting, the camera takes good pictures during the day. The range of light and dark is good, and the colors are bright and full. Though they seem a bit too vibrant, which is noticeable when taking pictures inside.
The pictures don’t have many details, and the quality is worse when there isn’t much light. The night mode works fine, but it takes between 5 and 8 seconds to take a picture. The macro and depth cameras take average close-up photos because they don’t show much detail. Autofocus doesn’t work very well, and 2x zoom isn’t very useful in daylight either. When you use 4x zoom, the clicks look dull and lack clarity. You can buy this phone from its official website
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite: Performance
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset that runs the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G is good for a mid-range phone, but it has some hardware limits. The phone is fast because it has a chipset and 8GB of RAM. Multiple apps load quickly and run in the background without crashing or slowing down. With 128GB of storage, you can put just about anything you want. The RAM can be “virtually” increased by up to 5GB, which can help if your phone seems to be running slower than usual.
The Nord CE 2 Lite can play games well, but the frame rate is slow and the picture quality isn’t as good. Games like BGMI: Mobile that are stronger work better than games like Nord CE 2 Lite, but if you don’t play games very often, Nord CE 2 Lite might work for you.
Battery Life & Charging
The OnePlus budget phone features a larger battery than the regular OnePlus X and is on par with the Poco X4 Pro 5G in terms of capacity. More over half of the battery life remains after a full day of moderate use (with the screen on for 3 hours and 30 minutes). The Poco X4 Pro 5G also achieved a similar performance, so while it is impressive, it is not surprising.
The PCMark Work 3.0 battery life test never completed during my time with the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G. I can’t use standard metrics because we don’t understand the cause. The OnePlus phone is charged with the included 33W charger.
Price & Availability
All of this is yours for just £279, which is a pretty good deal. This makes it not only the cheapest OnePlus phone ever, but also cheaper than our favorite mid-range Xiaomi phones, the Poco X4 Pro (£299) and the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G (£319).
The Snapdragon 695 in both of these phones is the same as the one in the Nord CE 2 Lite, so you can expect similar speed from all three phones. But for the extra money, you get main cameras with 108MP and slightly bigger AMOLED screens.
Final Words
It’s too bad that the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite ends on such a bad note, because it’s a pretty great low-cost phone. Even though it looks as dull as dishwater and the cameras could be better, it has a great screen, great speed, and a very long battery life for a very low price.
