The arrival of the Polk Audio Signa S4, which features a 3.1.2 configuration. It is the highest-end model in the Signa Series offered by Polk, and in contrast to the Polk Audio Signa S2, it is compatible with Dolby Atmos audio content. Your preferred music will benefit from an increased amount of punch in the bass and brightness in the treble thanks to the sound’s mild V-shape.
The reproduction of conversation is still very clear, and there is also a feature that allows you to alter the level of dialogue enhancement, so you can regulate how loud the voices sound in the overall mix. On the other hand, it does not have a thumping low-bass, so you won’t experience the excitement in music or movies with a major emphasis on bass.

Polk Signa S4 review: Design and Features
The Polk Signa S4 is a Dolby Atmos soundbar with left, right, center, front overhead, and a wireless subwoofer channels of playing. It has a variety of ways to join and a wide range of useful sound modes. In terms of competitors, there are two similar soundbars, the Sonos Beam and the LG Eclair, that have either simulated or real Dolby Atmos. While we were writing this review, the Eclair was briefly on sale for $400, but it is now back to its more expensive $600 price. The Vizio M512a, which comes with surround speakers, costs $100 more than the Polk.
Polk Signa S4: Sound quality
You won’t get the same level of immersion as with a system with special surround speakers and more drivers in the bar, like the much more expensive Samsung HW-Q950A, but the Signa S4 sounds much better than its competitors that don’t have Atmos support.
You’ll hear sounds behind you and to the sides, which really helps you feel like you’re in the game when you’re watching sports, playing FIFA 22, or catching up on the latest Halo episode. You can buy this soundbar from its official website
Polk Signa S4: Connections
Around the back of the subwoofer, there are only three ports: one HDMI ARC/eARC input, one optical input, and one 3.5mm analog input. There is also a USB A port, but don’t get too excited about it. It can only be used to update the firmware, not to play songs from a storage device (boo!). If you want music, you don’t have a lot of choices.
Final Words
The Polk Audio Signa S4 is good enough for a variety of uses. Its sound has a bit of a V shape, which gives your best music more punch in the bass and brightness in the highs. It also plays back dialogue clearly and accurately, and its adjustable dialogue enhancement mode is useful for watching TV shows or listening to podcasts. Also, it can play material with Dolby Atmos.

Polk Signa S4 review: the good and the bad
The Good
- Compact design
- Ultra-simple setup
The Bad
- No EQ adjustments
faqs
The Polk Audio Signa S4 soundbar and subwoofer is a great way to get full sound for a low price, but you can’t add more speakers to it and it doesn’t have Wi-Fi.
The Polk Audio Signa S2 is a 2.1 speaker, but the Yamaha YAS-207 is a better one. The Yamaha has a more balanced sound that works with a wider range of stereo material. Its subwoofer also makes bass that is deeper, and the bar makes a better phantom center channel overall.
