Realme Pad X review 2024: great speakers and battery life

Smartphone manufacturers were compelled to try their luck once again in a market segment that was previously believed to be on its way out due to the unexpected rise in demand for tablets that occurred when the pandemic hit. Realme Pad X review: Display

When it comes to the screen, we have a 10.9-inch, 2K screen. It only has a frame rate of 60Hz and a brightness of 450nits. There should have been support for a high refresh rate screen, especially since this tablet’s main rival, the Xiaomi Pad 5, has a 120Hz screen.

But we can live with the 60Hz display, though we sometimes miss the high update rate because we haven’t had a 60Hz display on my phone in a long time. It’s easy to watch movies and TV shows on the tablet, and the screen is good for a tablet in its price range.

The Realme Pad X has a main camera with 13 megapixels and a front camera with 8 megapixels. The tablet should work well for scanning papers and taking pictures of them. In this way, the Surface Pad X has proven itself. The main camera is good and takes good pictures in daylight. High-quality photos of text are clear and easy to read. The 8-megapixel front-facing camera has a wide 105-degree field of view.

Realme Pad X review: Performance

Everyday jobs are easy to do on the Realme Pad X. We didn’t notice any lag when moving between apps or even when loading one, which is something we thought the Snapdragon 695 SoC would do. A few apps that were running in the background did sometimes restart when we went back to them. You can use the “App Lock” tool in the multitasking window to keep certain apps on the tablet. This can help with games like Call of Duty: Mobile that are a bit heavy.

The battery is pretty big at 8340 mAh, and it can be charged quickly with 33W. During the time we were reviewing this tablet, we could watch movies and browse the web for 10 hours or more on Wi-Fi. But 5G has a shorter battery life than 4G, which was about 6-7 hours. We also noticed that the 5G idle drain was a lot higher than the Wi-Fi standby drain. So, keep that in mind when you’re using the Realme Pad X. There is a USB cable and a 33W charger in the sale box.

The Wi-Fi-only 4/64GB model of the Realme Pad X costs INR17,999 ($225/€220), and the 5G 4/64GB model costs INR25,999 ($325/€320). The Realme Smart Keyboard costs INR4,999 ($63/€61) and the Realme Pencil costs INR5,499 ($69/€68) if you want them. So, you can get a tablet with 5G for about the same price as the base iPad 2021, and for about $130 more, you can get the keyboard and the Pencil.

The realme Pad X is a great deal for people who want a good-performing mid-range tablet. It has everything a good tool should have, which is especially important for working from home. The company has made special tools, like the realme Pencil stylus and the Smart Keyboard, to make work easier. However, you have to buy them separately.
