Even though many affordable noise-cancelling true wireless earphones have come out this year, the best ones still tend to cost $150 or more. So, the $99.99 TCL MoveAudio S600 earphones are in the category of being very cheap. Their audio performance has more bass, but also some bright highs. This gives them a sound signature that feels sculpted.
With clear highs and deep bass that doesn’t go too far. Considering the price, their active noise cancellation (ANC) is pretty good. And we like that they can stand up to water. In the end, the MoveAudio S600 earbuds are a good deal, but we like the more stylish Nothing Ear (1) and the cheaper Anker Soundcore Life P3 a little better.

TCL MoveAudio S600 review: Design

When you look at the S600s, you’ll immediately think the same thing we all do, which is that they’re just copies of the AirPods. Even though that’s true, these AirPods are a lot more comfortable than the old ones. The S600s are even more comfortable than my trusted AirPods Pro and Galaxy Buds, at least for my ears.
TCL uses silicone ear tips that sit in the ear canal and help create the seal needed for Hybrid Active Noise Cancelation. As you might expect, these stems also work as gesture controls for skipping tracks, switching between ANC and Transparency, and answering phone calls. You can buy earbuds from its official website.
TCL MoveAudio S600 review: Connectivity
The TCL MoveAudio S600 had some of the clearest call quality of any headphones or earbuds I’ve used recently. We didn’t hear any complaints, even when we moved around my house to get things done while on calls. The earbuds have six mics that are used to cancel out noise, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that they also work well for phone calls.
The Bluetooth 5.0 connection worked even when we put plaster or drywall between my phone and the earbuds and was at least 30 to 40 feet away. Even so, the concrete walls of my office in the basement were enough to make it feel small. Calls or music would start to break up at about 15 to 20 feet away.
TCL MoveAudio S600 review: Sound quality

The powerful sound also works very well in games, where gunshots are meaty, demon shrieks are chilling, and the soundstage is pretty wide. You will still have some latency, though. Active Noise Cancelling is, of course, what makes the sound better. The S600 has six microphones that listen to what’s going on around it and cancel out annoying sounds. When we used the buds for the first time, we were walking my kids to school.
TCL MoveAudio S600 review: Battery Life
The battery life is just as impressive. TCL says that each earbud will last 8 hours without ANC and 6 hours with it. Those were pretty much the results we got when we tested it, but the case has room for another 24 hours of charging. The case can charge both with USB Type-C and wirelessly on any Qi charging pad. I never worried about the battery, but the Freebyrds still beat the S600 by a wide margin, with 11 hours in each bud.
TCL MoveAudio S600 review: Price and availability
The TCL MoveAudio S600 can be bought from Amazon for $99. You can choose a black, grey, or white finish. In the box with the earbuds are five sets of ear caps for a better fit, a wireless charging case, and a short (7-inch) USB-A-to-USB-C cable.
Final Words
The TCL MoveAudio S600 stands out among budget headphones because it has a long battery life, ANC that works better than expected, and controls that work well.
But some things had to be given up to get the price down to less than $100. The glossy plastic build doesn’t look high-end, the bass isn’t very good, and the ANC isn’t as good as what Sony, Bose, or Apple have to offer.
