Vivo V27 review 2024: great OLED display

The V27 series from vivo was introduced a couple of months ago, and it consists of three different versions with varying price points within the midrange. We have already had a look at the V27 Pro, which is the most powerful model in the series, and it is now time for us to concentrate on the V27.

The standard V27 is, in many respects, the same phone as the Pro; the only difference between the two is that the regular V27 has a Dimensity 7200 rather than the higher-end model’s Dimensity 8200. And, well, that pretty much sums everything up. The somewhat less powerful chipset (a couple of smaller CPU cores and a couple of GPU cores less altogether) comes with a reduced price, and the V27 may be purchased for approximately 15 percent less than the Pro for a RAM configuration that is identical.

Vivo V27: Design

The chassis of the Vivo V27 is identical to that of the V27 Pro; the size and weight are also comparable; however, the Vivo V27 comes in a wider range of color options. The Emerald Green prototype we have here for testing has a strikingly unique design compared to anything else we’ve seen.

This color scheme features a soft green gradient that fades from one end to the other, with tiny marble-like veins running through the upper half of the rear panel. Until, of course, you put it in the sun. The V27, like the Pro version and the V25 before it, reacts to ultraviolet light. It goes from its original color to a uniform dark green when exposed to sunlight, but after 5 minutes or so in your pocket or indoors, it returns to its original color. Vivo V27: Display

The Vivo V27 features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display that is curved and supports FHD+. In addition, it can reach a maximum brightness of 1300 nits and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The display can get rather bright, and we had no trouble using it even when we were outside. The colors appear to be quite vibrant and strong. Everything that can be seen on the screen seems appealing. It was a really enjoyable experience overall, so we decided to watch a couple videos on YouTube. The viewing experience is made more immersive by the curved screen and the narrow bezels.

Vivo V27: Cameras

You probably guessed correctly that the cameras are the same as the ones found on the Vivo V27 Pro. This means that you get an excellent primary camera as well as one of the greatest front-facing cameras that we’ve seen on any smartphone during our research. Both the ultra-wide and the macro are pretty unimpressive, but the ultra-wide is at least occasionally useful. The macro, on the other hand, is a complete letdown.

If you keep to using the primary camera and the front-facing camera for selfies, you will get the greatest results. Despite having a less powerful CPU, the shooting experience on the V27 is almost equal to that of the Pro model. We did not see any major shutter lag or much of a difference in the amount of time it took to process images. And it is precisely the outcome you had hoped for.

Battery and Charging

The battery of the Vivo V27 is 4600 mAh and supports fast charging via 66W. The battery life of the phone is satisfactory. It provided me with enough energy for an entire day, with enough to spare. Your phone will need to be charged overnight if you use it frequently.

Considering the size of the battery, we were able to use the display for around 6 hours. The battery life of the Vivo V27 is satisfactory, although a 5000mAh battery would have been preferable. In about 45 minutes, the phone may go from dead to fully charged with the help of the 66W fast charger.

Final Words

The phone, which has a back made of superior glass and has a beautiful matte finish, attracts the attention of those all around immediately. The fact that it is also capable of changing color and has a back panel that is resistant to fingerprint smudges adds a significant amount of value to the device.
