Fortnite is one of the most popular Battle Royale games out there and can be played on Windows / Mac, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo. It was available for download at mobile Apple App Store and Google Play Store devices, but after a serious breach by Epic Games, the respective app store owners removed Fortnite from the store.

Now, if you go to the App Store or Google Play Store and search Fortnite, you won’t be able to find the game. Instead, there will be third-party software or other sources that are not the real game. Epic Games has made it clear that Fortnite can only be downloaded from the official website on Android devices or, if you have a Samsung Android device, you can download it from the Samsung Galaxy Store.

Steps to download / install

Navigate to Fortnite.com on your mobile device and tap the Download button button.

Select Get in Epic Games app button.

If the download does not start automatically, press the Download button button when the prompt appears.

Select OK on the pop-up asking for your permission to keep the file.

Locate and open Epic GamesApp.apk.

Update your browser settings by selecting settings button once the popup looks like.

Locate the Allow application installations setting.

Enable the Allow application installations setting.

Select Install at the prompt asking for permission to install the application.

Select Open as soon as the application is installed.

Once the Epic Games app opens, tap the Fortnite banner.

After selecting Fortnite, select Install.

After the prompt appears, select the settings button.

Locate the Allow application installations setting.

Enable the Allow application installations setting.

Select installation button.

Select the Open button.

Choose what you would like to allow Fortnite access to.

Select OK after receiving the message below. This app is designed for the version of Android you are running and no update is required.

Find or create an account by selecting one of the options.

Log in with either option.

Or sign in using your Epic account credentials.

Select installation button.

Click Play and join the battle!
