Windows Insiders Devin Channel Build 25252 includes a new system tray symbol for VPN status. For users who activated new features, Windows Insiders will see Build 22623.1020 in Beta Channels; for users who have new features disabled by default, Windows Insiders will see Build 22621.1020. Windows 11 Insider Dev Channel Build 25252
Dev Channel and Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25252 or higher. This release adds VPN status to be displayed in the system tray when connecting to a discovered VPN profile.
If you’re connected to a VPN, you should see a small shield over the network icon in the clock area, covered in your system’s accent color. This release also brings new Microsoft A/B testing to the new search bar icon. The new search icon has a longer, squarer daily search highlight graphic, similar to Windows 10.
Of course, if you’re thinking of upgrading, you should keep these known issues in mind. This week we have some important features such as Widgets, Secondary Drive, Taskbar and Task Manager. Most notably, there is an issue that is preventing some Insiders from seeing certain secondary units. Upgrading to a future-fixed build will resolve this issue.
