How to Curve Text in Microsoft PowerPoint – Guide
You might be in a hurry to create your presentation and only have time to create it in plain text. To make the presentation more interesting, you need to fill in background images, colorful text and decorative art. But these efforts take time to make their combined effects presentable. However, you can easily animate up a simple text presentation by adding more curves to your text. PowerPoint allows you to twist your text in many ways. You can also change your plain text to decorative art text, make the text follow a nice curve or circle, or do it all at once.
Open an existing presentation or create a new one. After creating a blank slide, go to New Slide from the Start menu, go to Insert and click Text Box. The text typed in the newly created text box must be center-aligned. To do this, select your written text, go back to the Paragraph under Home and select Medium. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + E. The Follow Path options are Arc, Arc: Down, Circle and Button. Choose one that works best for your presentation. If possible, make your text box a square. When the text is long enough, you can shape it into an arc.
Add text using WordArt
The first step in creating bent or curved text is to insert WordArt into your presentation.
Change the text path
Once the WordArt is inserted, you will highlight the text and change the text path.
