Now you can choose a profile photo directly from your photo album, or use custom Memoji or Animoji if you like, with the latest iOS version. keep reading to learn how to customize iMessage name and profile photo on iOS 13 and iOS 14.
iOS 14
On the screen below, you will see a number of options, including a simple colored circle with your initials, access to the front panel camera, access to the Photos app and a long list of emojis. Feeling a little devious? Why not define a Memoji or Animoji (see the next section for more information)? Remember, this will be what the recipient will see when they receive your messages, so avoid using your genitals, bare butt, and anything else that could get you arrested.
What you’ll see next depends on what you choose. For example, if it’s just a bubble with your initials, you’ll see options to Use in Messages, Edit, Duplicate, and Delete. If you select an image from the Photos app, you can move and scale the image, set a filter, and tap Done.
To define your name, just fill in the entries. This is the name your contacts will see when you message them, so be sure to select something that most people will know and won’t be too offended (unless that’s your goal, of course).
iOS 13
The instructions are slightly different, but they get the same results.
Everything else is basically the same as iOS 14, so go back to the previous steps if you need additional help.
