    Deleting unwanted data from Google Drive using a smartphone is very similar to the PC method. For demo I will be using an Android phone.

  • From you phone run the “Google One” app by tapping it. On iPhone, you can download Google One if you don’t already have it.
  • Tap the “Start” button button if you are using it for the first time.
  • On this screen, you will immediately notice how full your Google Drive is.
  • Tap the “Storage” tab at the bottom of the screen to see a summary of Google Drive storage space usage in the app.

  • Now you can wait for Google to automatically delete the item from the trash or delete it and reclaim the storage space immediately from the trash folder.
  • To visit the trash folder, tap the “Library” tab at the bottom right of the screen, then tap “Trash” button in the upper right corner of the screen.
  • Select the files you want to permanently delete by tapping on them and then tap on the “Delete” button button in the lower left corner of the screen. You will receive a confirmation message that the data has been permanently deleted.
