How to find specific system settings in Windows 10 PC – Guide
To search for System Preferences in the Start menu, open the Start menu and type a word or two that describe what you want to find. For example, you can type “keyboard” for keyboard settings or “display” for screen-related settings. A list of results is displayed on the left half of the Start menu. From there, click on the result that best matches your search and you will be directed to the correct setup application. You can also search for a specific setting directly in the Windows Settings app. First, open Settings by opening the Start menu and clicking the gear icon on the left. You can also press Windows + I to quickly open the settings window from anywhere in Windows 10.
The first way is to go to the Dock and use the arrow key to hover over it until Voice Over says “System Preferences” and press VO + Spacebar and System Preferences will open. Search with Windows 10 Start
One of the easiest ways to find a setting or anything else is to use the Start menu. Just press the Windows key and start typing your query. For example, you can type “control panel” to bring up up the classic legacy control panel if that’s how you’re used to finding things. Or type “Printer” for printer and scanner settings.
The top result will appear at the top of the left pane of the Start menu. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, click the Settings header for a more detailed list. After clicking on a corresponding item from the list, the correct configuration or application will open up.
Search in the settings app itself
You can usually find the configuration you need by opening the Windows Settings app. You can do this by going to Start > Settings or by pressing the keyboard shortcut Windows Key + I.
when it opens up there is a big search field at the top of the app where you can type what you are looking for. Similar to Launch, it will display the corresponding settings as you type your search query. In the example below, I’m looking for a specific display setting I need to adjust. I can find what I need by simply typing “display” in the search field. But it also works for other queries like clipboard, Bluetooth or network.
If you still can’t find what you need, you can go old school and look for the classic Control Panel. Launch the classic Control Panel and when it appears, type in the search box in the upper-right corner of the window and press Enter.
