How to Fix Auto-Brightness Not Working on Your iPhone – Guide

1. Turn off automatic brightness
When auto-brightness is on, iPhone uses the ambient light sensor to adjust brightness levels based on the light around you. And therefore, it reduces glare and darkens the screen in dark environments.
So if your iPhone screen dims on its own, the auto-brightness feature could the culprit. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Screen and Text Size. Here, scroll to the bottom and turn off the Auto-Brightness switch.

- If set to Low-Light, change to None.
5. Disable sleep mode
The Low Power mode on iPhone, when turned on, does a number of things to save battery power. This also includes reducing screen brightness. Therefore, try turning off low power mode if you find that the iPhone screen is darker than usual.
