How To Flag any Segment inside Strava – Guide
Strava has announced a new update that automatically flags questionable segment times to ensure better accuracy. The popular training and social media app “improved the algorithm behind our automatic detection of segment records that aren’t right” to reduce the number of scores “that are clearly inaccurate and unfair.”
This change means that Strava will automatically detect any timing or performance that seems unlikely and will automatically flag and notify the athlete via a notification. Strava has now developed a system that allows users to actively edit the ride to remove “unintended data”, which Strava says is likely an “honest mistake”. It also allows you to contact the system if the effort is genuinely genuine.
To use the new cropping tool, you’ll need to click three dots at the top of the activity before using a slider to remove the necessary parts of your ride. This is then automatically updated in the open leaderboards.
