However, if you cannot find a suitable image or if your image does not have a white background, this is not a problem. You can do this easily in the app itself. Today we’re going to walk you through the steps for making a double exposure image in Snapseed. Using this effect requires a detailed level of precision and effort to get the best result.

Create double exposure images in Snapseed

Open the Snapseed app and add the desired image.

Then tap Tools and choose the Selective option. The technique we are going to use is known as Selective Brushing.

Now tap the plus icon and subsequently anywhere on the background. This will place a B icon in that region. Now swipe to the right on the screen and increase the brightness to +100.

Likewise, perform this step again, place icon B in the desired locations and increase the brightness. Do this until you are able to make the maximum white background.

Giving a darker tone to your subject

Tap Tools and select the Brush tool.

Now select the exposure brush and decrease its strength to -0.3.

Brush the entire subject so that it stands out in a darker tone. You can even zoom in on the subject with the two-finger pinch gesture.

Finally, you can now add the double exposure effect to your image via Snapseed.

Go to Tools and select the Double Exposure option in the Snapseed app.

Now tap the Open Image icon and select the desired image which will act as the merged image.

Then tap the Style option (the center icon) and select Lighten.
