How to Password Protect Photos on iPhone/iPad – Guide
The Hide Photos option in the iPhone Photos app simply moves the photos to a hidden folder that anyone can easily access. So, below, we have provided a workaround to completely hide photos and password protect them on iPhone. When you hide photos on iPhone, Photos app creates hidden photos folder and moves all hidden photos to that folder. Although hidden photos do not appear in the Photos view or in the original photo album where they were hidden, you can easily access them by going to the Hidden folder available in the Photos app.
The workaround below uses the Notes app to actually hide and password protect photos on iPhone. You probably want to keep these images out of the sight of anyone who might be looking through your camera to roll. Apple’s iOS offers a way to hide photos, but you can’t put them in a password-protected album. And as you know hiding is not really safe as it just takes the hidden photo of your camera roll and place it in the Hidden album that can be opened by anyone.
