How to Take Screenshot with Mouse Pointer on Windows 11/10 PC – Guide
Microsoft offers two different options for capturing the screen with the included tools. The first and oldest is the PrtScr key on the keyboard, a tool that requires copying an image and pasting it into Paint for editing. It is not ideal and does not have the features of the latest version: Snipping Tool. Although the Snipping Tool is a big step forward for screenshots on Windows devices, I was unable to capture the mouse cursor. Here is the solution I came up with up com to place the mouse pointer on the image when needed. Taking screenshots in Windows has long been possible using the classic method of pressing the “Print Screen” key on the keyboard and pasting the clipboard into an image editing program like Microsoft Paint.
This was later facilitated by the Snipping Tool which made taking screenshots much more convenient. However, you will notice that both tools hide the mouse cursor when you take a screenshot and there is no setting to include the mouse cursor in photos. Sometimes you want to include the mouse pointer in the screenshot, but most third-party screenshot apps (including Windows’ own options) hide the mouse pointer from the screenshot. So I tried various screen capture apps and found some apps that allow me to take screenshots with the included mouse pointer.
