How to connect AirPods to an iPhone

On your iPhone, go to the Home screen.

Position your new AirPods very close to the phone and then open the AirPods case.

You will see a configuration message on the iPhone. Tap Connect and then tap Done.

If you don’t see the connection message, keep the box open, but press and hold the button on the back of the case for about five seconds, until the message appears.

How to customize AirPod controls

Make sure your AirPods are connected to your iPhone by putting them in your ears or just opening the case.

On your iPhone, open the Settings app and tap Bluetooth.

Find the AirPods in the list of paired devices and tap the “i” icon on the right.

Change the name of the Airpods. Tap Name at the top of the screen and enter the name you prefer.
