How to Use Focus Mode on Android Device – Guide
Focus mode is just a lighter version of Do Not Disturb. It stops notifications from certain apps and also locks the app so you can’t use it while the mode is active. So, you can’t accidentally open a distraction app when you’re busy with work. You can now set a schedule by entering the start time, end time and days of the week. Tap Set after selecting the desired time. However, you won’t lose your notifications, as previous notifications will be restored once you turn focus mode off, as well as notifications received while it was active.
It’s basically a refined version of “do not disturb”. It’s a mode that blocks notifications from certain apps while it’s active, clears all open notifications from those apps, and prevents other notifications from appearing while the mode is active. Additionally, offending apps are also blocked during focus mode, so you can’t “accidentally” open them when you should be doing something else. This also explains why it’s called Focus Mode. It helps you avoid social media apps or basically any app that gives you frequent notifications and alerts. The mode essentially pauses you while you keep it on.
