How to Transfer Your Data from Android to New iPhone – Guide
Apple’s Move to iOS app makes it easier than ever to transfer your pictures, contacts, calendars and accounts from your old Android phone or tablet for your new iPhone or iPad. Apple’s first Android app, it connects your old Android and new Apple device via direct Wi-Fi and transfers all your information. Although the Move to iOS program transmits a lot of your data, it doesn’t move your apps, music, or any of your passwords (as they are incompatible). Also, only the data from an Android phone or tablet can be transferred to an iPhone or iPad running iOS 9 or higher. You won’t have any problems if you have the new iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, or iPhone 11 Pro Max.
How to Move your Android data to iPhone or iPad with Move to iOS
- To define up your iPhone or iPad until you reach the screen titled “Apps and data”.
- Tap the “Move data from Android” option.
- on your android phone or tablet, open the Google Play Store and search for Move to iOS.
- Open the Move to iOS app list.
- Tap Install
- Choose Open after installation.
- Tap Continue on both devices.

It will ask you if you want to transfer your Google Account information (so you can quickly sign in to your new Apple device), Chrome bookmarks, text messages, contacts, and your camera roll of photos and videos. Make a list of everything you want to transfer.
Your Android phone or tablet will send the selected data to your iPhone or iPad, where it will be placed in the appropriate apps. The two devices will be disconnected and Android will advise you to take the old device to an Apple Store for free recycling.
When the transfer is complete, click Continue Setup Up iPhone or continue setup Up iPad on your device to continue creating a new Apple ID or logging into an existing one.
