Microsoft seems to be making big changes to the Windows 11 Settings app. Today, we reported on the new setting design overhaul that the company is carrying out. Not everyone will like the new style, but some people will appreciate the new look.
As well as aesthetic changes related to the appearance of the Settings page, Microsoft is also working on a few other things in Settings that may be of interest to Windows enthusiasts and those who like to dig into Settings.
Changes to the Startup Apps page in Settings that lists the various apps that run when Windows starts. This feature is hidden for now, but Microsoft seems to be working on this option to allow users to view the installation directory or file location of Win32-based apps.
This is useful if you don’t want to do the same in Task Manager. However, with more detailed information, this new option seems to be more useful in specific cases.
This change was spotted in the latest development build 25247 by Windows detective PhantomOcean3 who loves digging into such hidden features.
