T-Mobile has arrived up with a devilish plan for iPhone users to simplify the process and give new customers up to three months to experience T-Mobile’s network. All based on eSIM technology.
your new chic phone you may not even need a physical SIM card, thanks to an integrated alternative called eSIM. Apple iPhone 13 also supports eSIM.
All major US carriers support eSIM. An eSIM links your phone account without inserting a physical SIM card. Your carrier now provides a QR code to scan during the setup process. Your smartphone must be connected to Wi-Fi. At this point, a QR code will instruct the phone to download the eSIM software and access the carrier’s network.
T-Mobile realized that even the QR code was unnecessary. There are other ways to download software. By simply downloading the carrier app from Apple’s App Store, he was able to access his iPhone’s eSIM without scanning the QR.
If you (and maybe a family member) are ready to move permanently, there’s an easy swap function. But if you just want to get in the Magenta mood for a while, there’s a Network Pass trial offer that gives you three months of free access via eSIM.
