MSI makes some of the best gaming laptops on the market, so I was excited to check out the MSI Vector GP76. This 17-inch laptop has powerful specs, such as the Intel Core i9-12900HK, which is Intel’s top mobile chip for the 12th generation, Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB solid-state drive (SSD).
The MSI Vector GP76 is the kind of laptop you might get if Batman tried to make one. The MSI GS76 Stealth has a “discreet but stylish design,” which is how it got its name. The Vector could also be called “Stealth,” since it reminded me of a stealth bomber from the moment we took it out of the box. When we turned it on, there were other things about it that made me think of a jet, but we’ll talk about those later.

Where to buy MSI Vector GP76 laptop?
Coming back to the design, the angled vents on the back and sides of the laptop and the raised hinges give the otherwise simple laptop an aggressive look. MSI’s black dragon logo is the only thing that breaks up the matte black lid, but its glossy finish makes it stand out. The Vector doesn’t have any flashy lights on the outside that scream “I’m a gaming laptop!” This means that it could also be used as a workstation or creator laptop and wouldn’t look out of place in an office or coffee shop.
Like most gaming laptops, it has ports on the back, left, and right sides. On the left side, there is a Type-A USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, a USB-C Gen 2 port, and an audio combo jack. Two USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports are on the right side.
Buyers can choose between the Core i7-12700H and the Intel i9-12900HK when it comes to the CPU. Only the Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti (150 W) and the RTX 3080 are good for graphics (non-Ti, 165 W). The RAM always comes from the factory as 2x 8GB DDR4-3200 (2x 16 GB in other regions of the world).
MSI’s high-end classes only use the DDR5 RAM, which is about 25% faster (see the AIDA comparison table below). But this doesn’t hurt the Vector GP76 for gaming or professional graphics applications, which is what it’s made for. A 1 TB PCIe4x4 SSD is also included, and its speed.
