How to Add new products to your Shopify store

Step 1: Click on Products in the left pane.
Step 2: Click Add Product button in the upper right corner of the page. This will take you to the Add Product page. Fill in the form with your product name in the Title box and your description in the Description box below.
Step 3: To add photos of your product, scroll down to the media box. You can click Add file or drag the photo file into the box. You can add more than one photo!
Step 4: To add the price, scroll down to the Prices box. You can add the product’s price, its original price (important when you are putting the item up for sale!) and the cost per item. While cost per item is not mandatory, Shopify needs to automatically calculate the cost of goods sold (COGS) and resulting gross profit.
Step 5: The next box, the Inventory box, is where you can add the quantity of in-stock product available for ordering. You can also include the SKU, or the holding unit, which is essentially your own code to easily identify products. There are two checkboxes you can check, one for Track Quantity and the other for Continue Selling When Out of stock. If you can easily restock product that runs out easily, you can check the last option.
Step 6: You can add the product weight in the next box, the shipping box. If you are selling a service, not a product, clear the This is a physical product check box.
If the product comes from outside the United States or you want to sell it abroad, you must disclose the Country/Region of origin and its HS (Harmonized System) code. Otherwise you can ignore them.
