How to fix ‘iPhone Alarm Volume Is Low or Loud’ Issue – Guide
Why is your iPhone volume so low? How can you turn up the volume on your iPhone or iPad? There is often a quick fix if you are struggling to turn up the sound on your device. Sometimes there is a bigger problem with the hardware.
Whether you’re listening to audiobooks and music, or worried about missing the alarm, the low volume on an iPhone can be a real headache. Here are some simple tips to increase the volume of your smartphone.
Restart your iPhone
Resetting is common practice with technology to fix minor issues, and you can do the same with your iPhone to see if it fixes an alarm that isn’t working.
To reset iPhone, press and hold the power button button until you see the shutdown slider or hold down the button button while pressing and holding the volume down button. Which method you need to use depends on your iPhone model.
Choose a louder alarm sound
Some of the iPhone’s alarm sounds are quieter than others, so if you’ve chosen one of them—and especially if the alarm volume isn’t turned up either—you may not hear it. Another thing to watch out for is to ensure that None is not chosen as the alarm sound, for obvious reasons.
Change the iPhone alarm sound in the Clock app. Open the Alarm tab, tap Edit and choose the alarm you want to change the sound for. Go to Sound and preview ringtones or songs to find something you think will work for you.
Check alarm time settings
If the alarm goes off but is silent, this method will not help. However, for iPhone alarms that are set in the app but do not go off at the designated time, you may not have set the correct time or day. up.
For example, if your alarm was supposed to go off every day at 12:15 pm and it worked yesterday but not today, the alarm is likely not set. up repeat.
Click Edit in the Alarm section of the Clock app, then tap the alarm you need to edit. Go to the Repeat settings and make sure there is a checkmark next to the days of the week for when you want the alarm to go off. Just tap a day to turn that day’s alarm on or off.
If your alarm goes off at the wrong time during the day, you’ve probably confused AM and PM, which is surprisingly easy to do. Edit the alarm and change it to the appropriate time of day, and be sure to tap Save when done.
Disable or change bedtime Feature
if you have bedtime feature enabled on your iPhone and the wake-up time is set to the same time as another alarm, none of them may sound. To avoid this silent alarm conflict, change the time to bedtime or your normal alarm.
To find the bedtime settings on your phone, open Clock and tap Bedtime at the bottom. You can turn off Bedtime here or slide the bell icon to a different time.
Delete and redo alarm
For some reason, iPhone may not have created the alarm correctly. Or maybe it worked for a while, but stopped due to a crash or incompatibility issue after an iOS update.
Open the Clock app from the Alarm tab and swipe left to delete the alarms or go to Edit first and tap the red minus sign buttons to find the Delete option. You can make new iPhone alarms with the plus button button in the upper right corner of the Clock app.
Use only one alarm clock app
If you have more than one app that can trigger alarms, you may have issues. Stick with the default iPhone alarm clock app, or disable it completely and use something else.
However, be aware that third-party alarm clock apps aren’t as built-in to your iPhone as the one that’s built-in. This means that you will likely have to keep the app open for the alarm sound to go off, as well as use the system volume (not the buzzer) to adjust the alarm sound.
For example, if the alarm clock doesn’t sound in your third-party app, open the app (so it’s visible and onscreen) and then use the volume buttons to rotate up. This will ensure that the app’s volume is loud enough to be heard regardless of the iPhone’s ringer volume.
If disabling third-party alarm clocks doesn’t resolve the iPhone alarm sounding issue, delete them completely, restart your phone, and try using the default alarm clock again.
Update your iPhone software
Many users with alarm sound issues on iPhone are using an outdated version of iOS. There may be a software bug in your phone this is only resolved through an update from Apple.
