How to Fix ‘Mail App Missing’ Issue on iPhone and iPad – Guide
Many people ask us, “How do I get my email back on my iPhone?” Whether you’ve randomly deleted, moved here, or are having trouble finding the All inbox inbox, we can help!
check screen time
When Apple released iOS 12, restrictions were moved to screen time, a part of the Settings app dedicated to helping users reduce iPhone usage. The restrictions are essentially the iPhone’s parental controls. You can restrict specific apps, App Store purchases, certain content based on rating, and more.
When you restrict apps on screen time, they disappear from the Home screen. It’s possible that the Mail app is missing from your iPhone because you’ve restricted yourself to using it!
Open Settings and tap Screen time. Scroll down and tap Privacy and content restrictions. Finally, tap Allowed apps and make sure the switch next to Email is turned on. If the switch is off, Mail will not appear in the Home screen
Reinstall the Mail app
If you don’t see Email under Settings -> Screen Time -> Content and Privacy Restrictions -> Allowed Apps, it is likely that the app has been uninstalled from your iPhone. Although Mail is pre-installed on every iPhone, you can delete this app.
Open the App Store and tap the Search tab in the lower right corner of the screen. Then type Mail. The Mail app you’re looking for should be the first result, unless there’s an ad.
Tap the cloud icon to reinstall Mail on your iPhone. Once the installation is complete, the Mail app will return to its normal place on your iPhone Home screen.
