  • On the opposite side of Personalization, click the Start tab.
  • Now, turn the toggle switch to the On or Off position next to the Show most used apps option. If you turn the switch to the On position, you can see the most used apps in the Start menu.
  • To hide frequently used apps from the Start menu, turn off the toggle next to the Show Most Used Apps option.

  • Perform the following steps to enable or disable the entry of commonly used apps into the Start menu in Windows 11.
  • Open the Local Group Policy Editor.
  • Navigate to the following path in the left pane of the Local Group Policy Editor window.
  • Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar

  • In the right-hand pane, look for the name of the policy Show or hide the “Most used” list in the Start menu and double-click it to open its settings. Select the Enabled option.
  • From the Choose one of the following actions drop-down menu, select the Show or Hide option.
