How to Insert a Watermark in PicsArt Application – Guide
Watermarks, a type of textural difference on a printed surface, have been in use since the 1200s. The aim has always been to make these markings as difficult to duplicate as possible. Originally, they were nothing more than sophisticated stamping and molding techniques. Having a watermark was, and remains, a sign of authenticity and exclusivity back then, as it is now. Watermarks and other security measures such as ink change and embedded line are still used today to prevent the replicability of confidential documents such as coins, contracts and creative work.
While we all have a bit of “paperwork” in our lives, there’s no doubt that, as a culture, we’ve gone digital. Even our payment methods are more virtual. This requires a 21st century watermarking solution that we can apply to all the files we share via email, internet and social media apps. If you run a company that handles secret or proprietary information, having a watermark on hand can be very helpful. Perhaps you are a partner in a law firm or professional photographer who must maintain the integrity of your work on a regular basis.
This article will teach you how to create a watermark logo and how to use it on an image or document. So no matter where you email or upload your files or photographs, visitors will recognize that you created them and want to protect them from tampering and abuse.
How to Make a transparent watermark
Step 1: Open Picart mobile application and click the purple plus sign at the bottom of the screen to start a new project.
Step 2: If you already have a logo or copyright watermark you’d like to use and want to add it to an image, skip to Step 8 to learn how to insert the graphic and change its opacity. However, if you want to make a watermark from scratch, read on.
Step 3: Scroll down to the “Color Backgrounds” design category and choose the gray checkered design. This background is actually transparent, which means that you can later export the watermark created in the steps below without any background, and it will be easy to import into other documents and images in the future.
Step 4: From the menu at the bottom of the screen, select “Text” to add words to your blank screen.
Step 5: Write your company name. Don’t worry about the font or color yet. You can change this in the next step. When you’re finished writing, click the checkmark in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Step 6: Now, with the “Font” icon highlighted, you can choose from the many available font styles. Simply scroll through them and click on the one you want to apply it to your text.
Step 7: You can now change the hue of your text. Highlight the “Color” icon. Then select one of our ready-made tones or mix up your own by clicking on the color wheel. Use your finger to select exactly the correct hue on the wheel, then click the checkmark in the upper-right corner of the windowup to apply that hue to your text. Don’t panic if you choose a letter color that doesn’t appear up deep inside. Remember that support is transparent, so it won’t matter in the future.
Step 8: Download your watermark by clicking the down arrow above your screen. This will save the image to your phone on a transparent background that’s easy to import into other images and documents as an overlay that doesn’t obscure the content behind it.
Step 9: if you just learned how to make a watermark for the photos or have one ready, this step is essential because it allows you to add the graphic to another image. To get started, repeat step 1, but this time, browse your personal photo library for the image you want to add a watermark to. With the background image in the editing screen, scroll through the menu below the screen and click “Add Photo”.
Step 10: Now find the watermark image you want to use – perhaps the one you just made following steps 1-7 – and click on it to place it on top of the background image. You can now resize and use your watermark in different ways, as shown in the steps below.
Step 11: One option is to place your watermark in the corner of the photos to let viewers know you own or created it. Whether it’s a picture of your company or a stunning wedding or landscape photo you took, this is a simple and attractive way to put your name or brand on it.
Step 12: Alternatively, you can reduce the opacity of the watermark and stretch it using the resize pulls at the corners of the image. Decreasing the opacity will make your watermark appear transparent, as if it were an integral part of your virtual role, like security features found on physical currency or letterhead. Once you’ve finished applying your watermark, you can download your image by clicking the down arrow above your screen.
Step 13: Finally, keep your transparent background watermark available so that you can insert it into other images in the future. You can even try importing it into other programs to add it to important or proprietary texts. Just be sure to familiarize yourself first with copyright, trademark and other registration laws and your rights under them.
