The history of the clipboard feature was added to Windows 10 in the October 2018 Update. When you press Win + V, you can see a list of the 25 most recent items copied to the clipboard. When History is enabled, Windows saves objects that are less than 4MB in size, such as text, HTML, or photos. Clipboard history doesn’t save bigger stuff. Unless pinned, list items will also be cleared when the device is restarted. Clipboard history is not enabled by default; you must enable it in Settings.
The clipboard in Windows 10 is more powerful than in previous versions of the operating system. The new clipboard can also be synced to other Windows 10 PCs and tablets that are signed in with the same Microsoft account.
