Several users have reported issues with their printer drivers after getting the Windows 11 2022 Update shortly after Microsoft started rolling it out. To prevent these Windows devices from being updated to the Windows 11 2022 Update, Microsoft has implemented a compatibility lock. Users can now upgrade to the Windows 11 2022 Update because Microsoft later resolved and unlocked this issue.
Microsoft has now subtly modified the Windows Health Dashboard to show that the global release of Windows 10, version 22H2 was accomplished with few changes and improvements.
Microsoft also states in the Windows Health Dashboard:
Windows 10, version 22H2 feature update is on final stages of deployment and is currently slated for wide deployment. As part of a broader rollout phase, Microsoft is offering this update to an expanded group of targeted devices running Windows 10, version 20H2 and later.
This means that if you use Windows 10, you can check for updates, find the feature Update for Windows 10 version 22H2 and install it on your computer. The upgrade process to Windows 10 version 21H2 should be considerably faster.
It is important to be aware that Windows 10, version 21H1 will soon no longer receive security updates. After December 13th, if your device is still using this version, updates will not be available. You should think about upgrading beforehand. On May 14, 2024, Windows 10, version 22H2 is expected to no longer receive security updates.
However, Microsoft will continue to release updates for Windows 10, version 21H1. On June 13th, this version is expected to stop being supported.
