Acer Swift 1 Review – Design

Acer Swift 1

The casing of the Swift 1 is constructed mainly of plastic. Only the base unit’s upper side is made from aluminum. Despite using plastic, the device can be described as trendy. This is true to an even better extent of the lid.

Acer Swift 1 Review – Keyboard and Touchpad

Acer Swift 1

The Swift 1 has an unlit chiclet keyboard. The flat, lightly roughened keys have a clear pressure level and short drop. The keyboard yields slightly when typing on it. However, we didn’t find this annoying. Overall, Acer has put in a very decent keyboard that is designed for even prolonged typing sessions. The touchpad has a surface area of approximately 10.6 x 6.1 cm (~4.2 x 2.4 in). Thus, it gives sufficient room for using gestures. The pad’s sleek surface gives it easy for the fingers to glide over it. The pad has a defined pressure level and short drop.

The Swift 1 is the cheapest model and lowest-performance in Acer’s Swift lineup. However, it doesn’t want to cover. Although the casing is specially made from plastic, the Swift 1 can be described as trendy. That is also due to its slim exterior.
