The Keychron M3 is a wireless gaming mouse that Keychron markets as being being ideal for use in other contexts, such as at work and when travelling. The M3 is Keychron’s second mouse to be released, and it employs a PixArt PAW3395 sensor, which is widely regarded as one of the most precise and reliable sensors currently available.
The body of the mouse is made of a solid plastic and has a symmetrical design with rough plastic regions on both sides to provide additional gripping surface area. Keychron M3: Design
The M3 was developed with the purpose of PC gaming in mind; however, it is possible to use it on a Mac without encountering any significant operational concerns. When compared to the Magic Mouse, the M3 features a more straightforward and utilitarian design that is available in either white or black and appears very similar to a variety of other third-party computer mice. We do find the M3’s higher profile to be more comfortable in my hand than the Magic Mouse’s, but if you prefer the design aesthetic of the Magic Mouse, you probably won’t enjoy the M3. Keychron M3: Software
However, thanks to these two buttons as well as extra polling and connectivity mode buttons located underneath, you are able to alter practically all of the settings you require without having to go into the Keychron Engine companion software app. This allows you to game for a longer period of time because you do not have to exit the game to make adjustments.
Having said that, Engine M3 is a nice little app that allows you to assign all of the M3’s buttons and make adjustments to more specialised settings like the lift off distance of your mouse. Because of this, it is definitely worth a visit between games, when you do feel like taking a rest. A version of the programme compatible with Windows 10 and 11 is presently available; however, Mac users will have to be patient as they wait for Keychron to release a version of the software compatible with Macs.
RGB lighting
There are RGB lights around the plastic body and between the scroll wheel that can make 16.5 million different colours. Under the scroll wheel, there is a middle button that lets you turn on and off the RGB lights and see the different choices for the different colours.
The 600mAH battery inside the M3 Wireless Mouse can last for 70 hours if the RGB lights are turned off and the mouse is used in wired mode. If the RGB lights are on and the mouse is used wirelessly, it can last for 15 hours.
Keychron M3: Performance
It’s easy to connect and use the Keychron MS mouse. We took it out of the box and charged it for a few hours before we could use it. We could choose Bluetooth on the bottom of the mouse and connect it easily. We didn’t use the wireless 2.4 GHz dongle at first, but I did when I needed to get to the programme.
We also didn’t change the mouse’s settings because they worked for me. Some of the LEDs on the mouse are shown in the pictures below, and the video shows one pattern of the light show, which can be changed. Aside from that, the mouse is very light and works well. The buttons feel good when you click them, and everything works quickly and well. I don’t play games, but this looks like a great mouse for gaming.

The Keychron M3 mouse is a great mouse that I’ve added to my new EDC system, which has replaced my laptop. It is well made, the buttons feel good, and the LEDs can be changed to make it look even better. We can connect to it via Bluetooth, wirelessly, or with a wire, which makes it very flexible.
