Like most Wear OS devices, the old Tag Heuer Connected watches could be used for a day. Tag says it has improved battery life by 30%, and I’d say that sounds right based on my time trying the device. It comes with a 430mAh battery, which lets you track sports for an hour for a full day. 

The charging speeds are also fine. It takes about 30 minutes to charge your watch to about 50%, and it takes about 70 minutes to fully charge it. Neither how fast it charges nor how long it lasts are particularly good, and you can get the same results with many other Android-based watches.

This is important because, unlike traditional watches, which are made to last a lifetime, people know they will want to update their smartwatches with ones that have better technology over time. Even though prices go up from here, the TAG Heuer Connected E4 45mm’s price of just over $2,000 USD is not too bad given the competition. (of which there is little and mostly from other fellow LVMH brands such as Hublot and Louis Vuitton).

But the big sports and health features that were promised aren’t quite there, and while the battery life is better, you can get better performance for less money with Wear OS.
